Campfires are prohibited due to wildfire risk. Portable fire pits are not allowed on property.
We will be closing out our Summer Season at the Lodge on October 4, 2026. Thank you for a wonderful season! We are so grateful to everyone who visited and helped make this summer so special.
Our Summer 2027 calendar will be opening in the coming days. We look forward to welcoming you back next summer!
Cabins require a 2-night minimum stay. Holiday stays require a 3-night minimum.
Cabin stays that include a Winter Holiday Dinner date require everyone staying in the cabin to pay for the Holiday Meal.
Winter Holiday Dinners
Please email reservations@elklakeresort.com to be placed on the waiting list for a Holiday Dinner. When emailing, please include the Holiday meal you are interested in, the number of people in your party, and a phone number where we can reach you. We will reach out to confirm your reservation and go over the details with you.
Holiday Dinners include: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s Day.
Please note: New Year’s Eve is currently full, except for guests arriving on their own snowmobiles.

Dogs at Elk Lake Resort
We’re excited to welcome dogs in our cabins next summer!
- Dogs staying in cabins: $50 per dog, per night
- Dogs staying in the campground: No additional fee
- Maximum of 2 dogs per cabin or campground site
- If a campground guest brings their dog into a cabin, the $50 per dog, per night fee will apply for every night of the cabin reservation, regardless of how many nights the dog was actually inside the cabin.
- Failure to disclose that you are bringing a dog and pay the required pet fee will result in the applicable pet fee being automatically charged. You may also risk having your reservation terminated and being asked to leave the resort without a refund.
Pet Damage & Excessive Cleaning Fee
A $250 pet damage/excessive cleaning fee will apply when necessary due to pet-related damage or excessive cleaning.
To help prevent damage and additional cleaning charges:
- Dogs are NOT allowed on beds or couches.
- Dogs are NOT allowed on any furniture.
- Bath towels are NOT to be used on dogs. Please bring your own pet towels.
- Any pet-related damage, excessive cleaning, or misuse of resort linens may result in the $250 fee.
For the safety and comfort of all our guests:
- All dogs must be on a leash at all times.
- Dogs may not be tied to trees, buildings, furniture, vehicles, RVs, dining deck railings, chairs, or anything else on the property.
- Dogs may not be tied to chairs on the beaches.
- Dogs may not be left unattended in a cabin, vehicle, or RV while on resort property. A fee may apply if a dog is left unattended.
- Dogs are not permitted inside the Lodge.
- Dogs are not permitted on resort property during the winter season.

The Lodge is the heart of the property and your place to relax with family or friends. It houses the front desk and check-in services, along with guest information, our General Store, fuel services, fireplaces, comfortable seating, board games, and cozy spaces to gather and relax.

![FULL MOON SKI & DINE ❄️
Back again in 2026!! Join us for dinner on January 3rd, February 1st, and March 3rd for a delicious meal, après ski. You’ll cross-country ski [mostly] downhill 1500 vertical feet, 4% grade, 11 miles from Dutchman Flat/Mt. Bachelor to Elk Lake Resort where we’ll have a hot meal and a warm fire waiting for you. After dinner we’ll load you and your skis onto our snowcat for a moonlit ride back to Dutchman Flat Sno-Park.
We recommend classic skiers get started by 3:30pm, and skate skiers get started by 4:30pm; Plan to arrive at the resort by 7:30pm for dinner. Return trip leaves from the resort after everyone has had time to eat @ approximately 8:30pm.
Reservations for dinner are not required but please secure your return trip (departing ~8:30pm) on our snowcat. We also have our private 5 passenger CanAm tracked vehicle available as well.
