Holiday Dinner Information
Celebrate the 2026 & 2027 holidays with us! We offer special, memorable dinners on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s Day.
These are special events with reserved seating, festive menus, and a unique dining experience at Elk Lake Resort. Gather with family and friends and let us make your holiday celebration extra special!
If you are staying on site, all members of your group must pay for dinner, and a reservation is required to ensure an accurate head count.
For day guests, we offer limited snowcat transport, and you are also welcome to use your own snowmobiles.
Snowcat rides for holiday dinners are only available as round-trip seats—one-way rides are not offered. Snowcat reservations for these dinners are made internally after confirming your dinner reservation, and are purchased seperately.
Cancellations must be made at least 14 days in advance to help us plan for everyone’s meal, and we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations within 14 days of the holiday dinner.
Please note: The Lodge will close at early on holiday dinner days so our staff has time to prepare for the special event.
You can place your reservations for any holiday dinner now by emailing reservations@elklakeresort.com. A credit card is required to hold your reservation, but it will not be charged at this time.

Thanksgiving at Elk Lake
Gather around the table and celebrate Thanksgiving in the heart of the Cascades. Enjoy a memorable holiday meal surrounded by family, friends, and the peaceful beauty of Elk Lake.
Let us take care of the cooking while you relax, reconnect, and enjoy the magic of Thanksgiving at the lake. It’s a special way to spend the holiday—good food, good company, and an unforgettable mountain setting.
We will offer two seating times for dinner, at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (3 PM is sold out for large groups).
Historically, there has not been enough snow during this time of year to operate the snowcat, so guests have typically driven in using their own 4x4 vehicles. On the day of your dinner, we will meet you at Dutchman's Gate and escort you in with Elk Lake Resort staff, as the gate will be locked.
However, winter weather can be unpredictable, and there is always a chance that snowfall could make the road impassable to personal vehicles. If snowcat transportation is necessary, it is available for an additional charge.
Because snowcat capacity is limited, we will accommodate the first 20 guests who sign up and request snowcat transportation. If more than 20 guests request the snowcat, transportation will be available only to those first 20 guests.

Valentine’s Day at Elk Lake
Make this Valentine’s Day one to remember with a special visit to Elk Lake Resort! We’re pulling out all the stops for the occasion with a limited Valentine’s Day menu featuring dishes you won’t normally find at the Lodge, including special entrées like steak and chicken, along with other delicious favorites created just for the day.
