In winter, Elk Lake Resort becomes a true backcountry destination—accessible only by snowcat or snowmobile. New this year our brand new PistenBully 400 snowcat will shuttle guests a safe, heated, scenic, and unforgettable ride along the snowy Cascade Lakes Highway.

Departing from Dutchman’s Flat Sno-Park near Mt. Bachelor, the snowcat transports you and your gear comfortably to the lodge in about an hour. With panoramic windows, cozy seating, and the thrill of traveling through deep snow, it’s more than transportation—it’s your first taste of the Elk Lake experience.

Snowcat transport will be available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the winter season (holiday schedules vary). Advance reservations required with preference given to guests with overnight accommodations.
