Elk Lake Resort, nestled in Oregon's Cascade Lakes region, is an ideal stopover for PCT hikers . Our resort provides tent sites,  showers, and many options in our general store to restock your pack.


You can also mail ahead packages for pickup.

  • What is the Pacific Crest Trail?

    The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is a long-distance hiking trail that stretches over 2,650 miles from the Mexican border to Canada, traversing through California, Oregon, and Washington. It's a breathtaking journey through diverse landscapes, including mountains, forests, and deserts.
  • Can I have packages mailed to the resort for pickup?

    Yes, you can mail packages to arrive between June 1st and October 1st. Please mail them FedEx or UPS (USPS does not deliver) to:

    The box needs to also have your ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) on the box.  We charge $5 when you arrive to retrieve your package. 

  • How can Elk Lake Resort assist PCT hikers?

    Elk Lake Resort offers a variety of services for PCT hikers, including tent sites, meal options, information, showers, and many items for purchase in our general store. We have ice cream too!

  • Are there any safety tips for hiking the PCT?

    Safety is paramount on the PCT. Always inform someone of your hiking plans, carry a map and compass, and be aware of wildlife. It's also wise to check weather forecasts and trail conditions before heading out.
  • Can I find food and supplies at the resort?

    Yes! The resort has a restaurant and a general store with lots of supplies for purchase, although inventory may vary. 


  • Can I take a shower at the resort?

    We do have showers available for $10, which includes shampoo, a bar of soap, and a towel. See us at the front desk to purchase. 

  • Can I do laundry at the resort?

    Unfortunately, we do not have public washers or dryers. 

  • Is there a place to pitch my tent at the resort?

    Yes, we have 5 PCT hiker sites that are first come first serve. Give us a call ahead to find out if they are available.
