Winter RESERVATIONS
Reservations
Our winter season will run from December 19th through March 29th. We offer check in and check out on Friday and Sunday allowing guests to enjoy 2, 5, and 7 night stays. Our 3 camping cabins can be booked for 1 night stays during the week. Please see cabin availability matrix below for most up to date availability. Availability will be released August 18th, 2025 @ 9am, and weekend rentals released on September 3rd @ 9am.
Cabin Renovations
We’re investing heavily in the future of Elk Lake Resort. Beginning this fall, we’ll begin a series of major renovations to our historic cabins—designed to enhance your experience and comfort while preserving the charm you love. Every cabin will feature all-new furniture, and many will receive upgraded fixtures, rugs, appliances, and amenities to elevate your stay. Whether you’re returning or visiting for the first time, expect an even more memorable mountain escape.
Transportation
In winter the lodge is only accessible by our snowcat, cross country skiing, or by snowmobile. If you are booking accommodations please ensure you make a subsequent reservation on our snowcat unless you are planning to arrive by ski or sled.
Meals
New this year certain meals will be provided as part of your stay. If you are checking in on a Sunday we will have dinner ready for you that night. If you are staying with us on the weekend we will provide dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. All other meals during the week are the responsibility of our guests; cabins have fully equipped kitchens. Bagged lunches will also be available for purchase (think meat jerky, fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, granola bars, a drink, etc). For winter efficiency all prepared meals on designated days will be served family style and charged to your account at checkout, You may also choose to leave a gratuity for the staff at checkout. Prices - Child/Adult: Breakfast $12.00/$28.00, Dinner $25.00/$58.00.
If you are not staying at the resort and wish to join us for dinner please email reservations@elklakeresort.com to make a reservation. We will also have a limited breakfast and lunch menu for walk-in customers on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
We are able to accommodate dietary restrictions such as vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten- and dairy- free, and some critical allergies. Please inquire before making your reservation if you have concerns, or if your dietary needs extend beyond those listed above.
Pets
For their safety, pets and service animals are unfortunately not allowed on our snowcat or at the resort during the winter.

These are the newest cabins on the resort property! They have excellent views of the lake, complete with 3 bedrooms, enough to sleep 8. Vaulted ceilings with large picturesque windows and large deck overlooking the lake with seasonal BBQ. Fully-equipped kitchen that’s great for entertaining! These deluxe cabins include all the amenities of home including full-service kitchen with serving bar, dishwasher, clothing washer and dryer, towels/linens, microwave, coffee maker, full-size range with stove top, flatware, stemware, and cutlery for a maximum occupancy of 8.
Lakeview Lodge #23, The Middle Sister
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY 8 ADULTS
These are the newest cabins on the resort property! They have excellent views of the lake, complete with 3 bedrooms, enough to sleep 8. The South Sister
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY 10 ADULTS
The largest of all our cabins it features three upstairs bedrooms. Bedroom 1 - King & 2 Twin beds. Bedroom 2 - Queen bed. Bedroom 3 - 2 Twin Beds. Downstairs - Full size Futon in game room.
Custom Ornate Log Character. Features full bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, mudroom, fully equipped kitchen perfect for entertaining including dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, full size range and stovetop, flatware, stemware, and cutlery for a maximum occupancy of 10. Also includes clothes washer/dryer, towels/linens and two large covered decks overlooking the lake with seasonal BBQ.
Camping Cabins
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY 4 ADULTS
With a queen bed on main floor and full size mattress in the loft. We have 3 camping cabins on our property. True camping experience, but with comfort of a propane heated cabin. No power/water or amenities. Bring your own sleeping bags and pillows. Showers are available for purchase at the Lodge. Table and chairs also provided. Enjoy relaxing on small deck and picnic table. Seasonal Campfire rings are available, bring your own wood or buy some at the Lodge. Sorry, no tents allowed near these cabins.

Booking Policies

• Late Checkout Fee Varies by room type ($25-$100)
CANCELLATION POLICY
90+ Days Before Arrival: A full refund will be issued minus a $100 cancellation fee (per lodging with amenities) or $20 fee (per lodging without amenities). Changes can be made with no penalty.
3–90 Days Before Arrival: A $100 cancellation/change fee (per lodging with amenities) or $20 cancellation/change fee (per lodging without amenities) applies and the deposit remains on file and may be used one-time toward a new reservation within 1 calendar year. No refunds will be issued.
Within 72 Hours of Arrival: All payments and deposits are forfeited and cannot be refunded or applied to a future stay.
Air Quality Policy: If AQI (as monitored by the resort monitor) is over 200 within 24 hours of check in time (marina rentals, lodging, campsites, etc) we will issue a full refund upon request.
